**About Our Client**

Our client is a leading provider of NHS primary care (GP surgeries) operating across **5* practices within the North West of England. The group focuses on delivering high-quality, individualised care for its **35,000* registered NHS patients.

Currently, the majority of practices are in the Tameside area, North West, however the group is expanding into the wider North region and has plans in future to grow into other areas of England.

CJPI have been exclusively retained to recruit a Reception Supervisor for their Tameside practices.

**About The Role**

As a Reception Supervisor, you will be pivotal in our very busy and demanding reception teams, reporting to the Practice Manager.

Operating in a fully hands-on role you will lead from the front in ensuring the smooth operation of the reception area. This includes providing exceptional customer service, and supervising reception colleagues.

Leading a small team of receptionists, you will be the first line of support to deal with day-to-day challenges. As a coach to reception colleagues, you will ensure that patients have an excellent, professional experience and ensure that the various functions within reception operate efficiently and safely.

Being based in the reception area alongside your colleagues, you will coordinate the ‘engine room’ of our surgeries and manage and support colleagues (including coordinating leave and sickness), being accountable for the team and leading by example.

The role is on-site full-time, Monday-Friday (40hrs) with core hours to ensure that both AM and PM teams are covered.

**Duties & Responsibilities**

Reception Operations:

- At the heart of a fast-paced working environment, you will be responsible for the smooth daily operations of the reception team and patient experience.
- Supervise the daily operations of the reception area, ensuring effective communication and coordination within the team.
- Proactively coordinate with other departments to enhance patient experience and operational efficiency.
- Handle a wide range of administrative tasks in a fully hands on manner, using a variety of systems and processes.
- Develop strategies to improve service, efficiency, and team performance.
- Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable at all times.
- Handle emergency situations with calmness and professionalism.

Workforce Supervision:

- Coordinate leave, sickness and absence, responding as required to maintain staffing levels within your reception team
- Train, guide, and evaluate reception to deliver outstanding patient experience.
- Lead by example, taking accountability for your team, and holding your team accountable.

**What We Are Looking For**

**Experience**:

- Proven experience in a customer service or front desk role, with at least one year in a supervisory capacity.
- With experience working in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure with shifting key variables, you will be experienced in responding and adapting to challenges and experience supervising a small team.

- Strong team management skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Effective and well-developed interpersonal skills
- Computer literacy level to include all Microsoft products
- Resourcefulness and flexibility to meet the needs of the organisation and demands of the position
- The ability to balance demands/priorities and manage workload effectively
- Ability to multitask and manage a wide range of administration, systems, telephone enquiries, appointments and front-desk functions
- Resilience under pressure
- A proactive and confident approach

You Will Ideally Have
- EMIS training
- Docman training

**Employment Conditions**

- Ability to commute to Tameside (Full-Time)

**Salary & Key Benefits Package**
- £26,000 - £30,000 basic salary
- 20% Employer Contribution NHS Pension
- 25 Days Annual Leave (plus Bank Holidays)
