The post holder will work within the Central Support Team. The post holder will be responsible for management of cancer waiting lists to ensure high utilisation performance, identification of demand and capacity issues, and collation of performance data to highlight opportunities for improvement.
They will also be responsible for the training of staff within the booking team, will be a liaison for the Cancer Services Division and specialty teams. The post holder will also be able to support the services to adapt to changes in performance targets. This role will lead to faster diagnosis targets being met, which can present a patient safety risk of increased time to diagnosis and treatment. The post holder will highlight available slots and liaise effectively with specialties and Cancer Services to highlight short falls.
