Job Purpose:
Key Accountabilities

FINANCIAL CONTROL AND PROFITABILITY
- To ensure reconciliation of book stocks with physical stock.
- To ensure stock tolerance is below agreed level.
- To ensure reconciliation of all paperwork re: deliveries, invoices, claims for credit, uplift.
- To ensure maximum value is realised for discontinued lines.
- To review overstocks and take appropriate action.

MAINTENANCE OF ACCURATE INVENTORY RECORDS
- To action /audit all reports.
- To maintain the Perpetual Inventory System and control the organisation of slot and item counts ensuring all pick slots are validated within time windows.
- To ensure correct processing of new and discontinued lines.
- To ensure correct processing and audit of all Inventory Adjustments.
- To ensure audit and investigation of all count overrides /stock discrepancies.
- The organisation of company stock takes in line with company procedures.

THE AUDIT AND MAINTENANCE OF INVENTORY RELATED PROCEDURES
- To ensure all Inventory related tasks are performed satisfactorily and with time windows.
- To ensure accurate recording, and reclamation of damages.
- To ensure all B/O/H discrepancies are investigated.
- To ensure all batch re-calls are instigated and dealt with promptly.
- To ensure all O/O/S are on order


COMMUNICATION
- Ensure effective liaison with all Management/Team Leaders
- Ensure effective liaison with Central Replenishment and other Head Office personnel.
- Ensure effective liaison with Supply Partners.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
- Assist in ensuring adequate Inventory cover exists for all key tasks.
- Ensuring there is effective, training, development, and discipline of all Inventory staff.
- Assist in yearly appraisals and regular one to ones of Direct Reports, assessing their job descriptions, training and development plans and recommending changes as necessary.

- Intermediate numeracy
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Knowledge of MS Word and Excel to intermediate level

Highly desirable - previous experience of:

- Company IT systems
- Product knowledge
- Controlled drug systems procedures
- Health & Safety requirements
- Security Procedures
- Operations Procedures
- Service Centre layout, control and administration systems
- Inventory Management Procedures
- Stock management and placement disciplines

MANUAL HANDLING

It should be noted that manual handling tasks such as lifting and bending are “essential requirements” of this role.
