Overall Purpose of the Role To engage people and communities with the Compassionate Sheffield programme. To build relationships and work closely with people, communities and other key stakeholders. To harness the power of community engagement and communication in order to improve peoples experience of death, dying loss and bereavement. Main Activities To empathise with people and their experience of death, dying, loss and bereavement.

To encourage, enable and inspire communities to support one another with death, dying, loss and bereavement. To help link communities into services and services into communities. To generate and share engaging content on Compassionate Sheffields social media platforms. To create posters, flyers, graphics and other content (using simple software, E.g.

Canva). To play an active role in generating content that showcases the programmes impact. To work flexibly with other members of the Compassionate Sheffield team and its key partners. To record and communicate insights to support the future development of the programme.

To be a part of strategic discussions and offer ideas for how we can improve the programme. Required Qualities To be compassionate. To be computer literate. To be an effective and attentive listener.

To have effective communication skills, both written and verbal. To understand the importance of messaging. To understand the importance of design. To feel confident talking about death, dying, loss and bereavement.
