Promote and lead Criteria to Admit

Enhance the visibility of the Clinical Site Team focusing on the practitioner requirements.

Exploit all opportunities for SMARTER working with the team in support of flow and discharge to enable the more efficient tracking of patients.

Maintain appraisal, leave, and training databases for the CSNP and CSM Teams.

Support the Trust's OPEL escalation policy and implementation.

Support and manage the Trust Capacity plans and procedures ensuring the correct placement of patients.

Manage and lead the team of Clinical Site Nurse Practitioners (CSNPs) and Clinical Site Managers (CSM) this includes managing and monitoring resources within a defined budget.

Be covering twilight shifts (14:00-22:30) three times a week and one regular shift (long day/night)/per week (with Mon & Tues as mandatory). Management slot to be allocated from 2-3.30pm during early part of twilight shift.

Be responsible for the Trust-wide development and delivery of effective site management to meet the delivery of agreed local and national performance standards.

Monitor patients in A&E on their pathway and proactively find resolutions to improve the speed of treatment by working directly with clinicians and managers, troubleshooting to assist the clinical areas to improve the patient experience; whilst ensuring the Trusts A&E 4 hr.

Participate in the Hospital sites’ emergency response including first-line management of Major and Serious Untoward Incidents as required.

Actively Lead the Capacity Meetings and any other meetings deputising for the Head of Patient Flow and Discharge as required.

Provide strong operational leadership and management to the CSNP and CSM, by the effective management of systems, processes, and people.

Be overall responsible and lead the co-ordination and first line management of the Trust’s emergency response to fire, major incidents, internal incidents, security alerts and serious incidents in conjunction with the Head of Emergency Planning and Resilience
