Company Secretariat Specialist - Salary circa £60.000

We are looking for an ambitious Company Secretarial professional to join us on a 12 month secondment, who is keen to take the next step in their legal career If you have prior experience working in a regulatory environment and are used to completing tasks to a high standard within a large, corporate setting, then we’d love to hear from you

A bit about the job:
You will support the General Insurance Company Secretarial team, ensuring the provision of high-end company secretarial and corporate governance support to enable the Boards within Aviva Insurance to set and achieve strategic goals. You will also lead on a defined portfolio of Aviva Insurance boards and board committees, as well as provide support and advice on a range of topics from Company Law and Regulatory Rule compliance activity, through to relevant codes of corporate governance, regulations, and guidelines. We also need a Company Secretarial professional who has exceptional senior stakeholder management skills, as you will act as a trusted adviser (up our board and executive level) through exercising good judgement and solid legal knowledge.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

- Extensive company secretarial and corporate governance knowledge, gained from working in a regulated environment
- Superb senior stakeholder experience i.e., be confident communicating up to C-suite and INED level, thanks to working for a large corporate organization previously
- Solid knowledge of company law, administration, and corporate governance (Financial Services sector and SMCR regulations knowledge would be highly desirable)
- Excellent self-management i.e., the ability to work independently, making business critical decisions
- Attention to detail, matched with excellent presentation & report writing skills

- Starting salary circa £60.000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
