An opportunity has arisen to join the Community Podiatry team based in the Swindon Health Centre as a Band 2 Business Support Team Administrator. The postholder will work as part of the Swindon Community Health Services Podiatry team, within the Administration function. The role will be to provide an efficient and effective administration service, accountable for ensuring administration tasks and duties are completed accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with NHS and Trust Policies.

The role will include scheduling appointments into electronic appointment rotas and supporting the appointment system for various areas of the service, using systm one, along with answering and receiving calls from patients.

You will also be required to support a busy Reception area and various administration tasks associated with the Podiatry Business Support administration function. All required training will be provided. You will be expected to liaise with all levels of staff, including GP Surgeries and our colleagues in the acute hospital.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our friendly administration team.
1. To ensure clinics are scheduled using System One database and arranged on behalf of the service where necessary, liaising with patients, making bookings and ensuring all clinic gaps are filled. To make appointments from GP, podiatrist and patient requests so that patients are seen in a timely manner, including nail surgery appointments. These may be new patient or follow up appointments for existing patients.
2. Liaise with Podiatrists working in all areas of Podiatry, along with other members of the Business Support team within Swindon Community Podiatry as relevant in day to day role.
5. Provide comprehensive podiatry reception cover, utilizing your time to provide support to patients, clients, customer and visitor areas, acting as a first point of enquiry.
6. To cancel and re-book clinics and patients to accommodate sickness, meetings etc as instructed.
7. Responsible for supporting Podiatry Administration team on a day to day basis, to provide an efficient and effective service in maintaining patient records using System One database.
8. Accountable for ensuring resolution and follow up of issues, as they arise in a timely manner.
