Dimensions Care is looking for an experienced **Senior Care Practitioner **to work with our individual young people in a trauma-informed way to support their positive development.

**Salary**

**OIE - £34716 - £36144 dependant on sleep ins earned.**

**The Role**

Dimensions Care aims to create a forward-thinking care approach by developing attachments with our children and to ensure that it's embedded in our serving community.

We're now looking for a **Senior Residential Care Practitioner **to help build and promote a safe environment where children feel valued and secure, relationships are positive and the focus is on feelings and emotions rather than displayed behaviours.

You'll be responsible for:

- Managing the day-to-day tasks within the home, using your initiative and working as part of a team
- Understanding the needs of each young person, their history and trauma
- Promoting a positive, open and reflective culture within the home which actively supports the positive holistic development of the children/young people within the home
- Ensuring the ongoing assessment of children and young people's needs in day-to-day practice
- Supporting with tasks within the home such as quality assurance and regulatory visits
- Actively promoting structure, boundaries and routines within a safe and nurturing environment, being aware of the two hands of parenting
- Providing a positive role model for the young people, presenting oneself in a highly professional manner
- Ensuring that all care plans and reports reflect the model of care used
- Ensuring the delivery of all key worker areas and responsibilities including direct work
- Representing the home at reviews and or meetings
- Working in partnership and develop professional working relationships with colleagues, other agencies and professionals to meet the needs of young people and their families
- Ensuring all staff practice is in line with best practice and the children and young people's Care and Placement Plans through supervision
- Overseeing, supervising, appraising and developing the skills of staff in their working practice

- Fulfilling sleep-in duties in accordance with the agreed rota

**About us**

Based in the Midlands, Dimensions Care offers specialist residential care services for children with social, emotional and mental health needs. Many of these children have experienced trauma, neglect or abuse resulting in challenging behaviours.

Licence/Certificate
- Driving License (required)
- Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (England) (required)
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in Children's Residential Care (required)
