Do you enjoy working in a busy environment where no two shifts are the same?
Would you like to work in a highly supportive team with excellent opportunities for development and progression?
If so our Minor Injury Units are the place for you
Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin have four nurse/paramedic led Minor Injury Units, in Whitchurch, Oswestry, Bridgnorth and Ludlow, that treat approximately 3000 patients across the service per month, making a real difference, providing care closer to home and avoiding admission to hospital wherever possible and appropriate. Our aim is to closely integrate with the Primary Care Network and acute hospitals to widen the conditions we are able to support within our units.
As an Emergency Practitioner you will be a Registered Nurse or Paramedic. You will need to have the desire to autonomously assess and treat patients. You will have excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills along with the ability to lead together with a passion to provide patient centred care. You will be working across a shift system which covers both of our MIU Units and includes evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
You will be joining a multi-disciplinary team who pride themselves on their excellent team working and support of each other whilst treating a diverse range of conditions. You will have excellent opportunities for learning and development with access to a wide range of courses to develop your clinical skills.
This role will provide you with a challenging but rewarding opportunity to utilise your skills and to deliver excellent care to a wide group of patients.
Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust provides community-based health services for adults and children in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, and some services in surrounding areas too. These range from district nursing, health visiting and running four community hospitals through to providing very specialist community care through talented and dedicated staff.
Patients, carers and the public play a vital role in helping us to develop and improve our services and we are constantly looking for ways to work with local communities, patients and the public to innovate and improve. Have a look at the Have Your Say section of our website to find out how you can feed back your experiences and help us to continually improve.
