'To establish good customer relations as the first point of contact in representing Stray Aid, and to complete administrative tasks in a timely and efficient manner.

**Duties**:
Answering all phone calls promptly, politely and in accordance with Stray Aid procedures

Promptly relaying all messages/enquiries to the relevant person

Handing out advertising materials, encouraging donations, new supporters and volunteers

Ensuring that the reception area is stocked with all literature and that duty managers are informed when supplies are low

Maintaining the reception area, ensuring the work stations are clean and tidy

Compiling and maintaining databases

Maintaining good administrative systems in the reception area

Assisting with promotional and fundraising events

Any other duties as reasonably required by the management team

Person Specification:
Skills and attributes.

A positive and proactive attitude

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)

An excellent knowledge of customer care and how to deliver excellent customer service

A good understanding of IT and office systems (Word, Excel, bespoke database), filing and storing information in accordance with the relevant legislation

A basic understanding of dog breed, descriptions and dog welfare requirements

Qualifications:
A qualification in customer care or administration would be desirable

Experience of:
Working in a customer-facing role, including both face-to-face contact with members of the public and on the telephone

Providing excellent customer service in a busy and challenging environment

Using a dedicated computer database would be ideal

Working in a rehoming/welfare environment would be desirable

Other requirements:
Commitment to the aims and objectives of Stray Aid

A smart and welcoming appearance

A full, clean, manual driving licence

A good level of fitness

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £10.42 per hour

Expected hours: 34 - 42.5 per week
