**Base Location**: Dublin

**Salary**: circa €43k+ performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing, and family.

We have a fantastic opportunity to elevate your career as a Communications Officer within SSE Energy Customer Solutions, SSE’s retail supply business in GB and Ireland.

As a key player in our vibrant communications team, you'll take charge of a varied and challenging workload. Your superior copywriting skills will be the driving force behind compelling content and campaigns, that captivate our audience and enhances our corporate presence. From crafting engaging press releases to managing digital communications, your creative flair will be the secret ingredient that brings our communications strategy to life. Juggling a variety of tasks, you'll ensure deadlines are met and priorities are well-managed. Your interpersonal skills will shine as you collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, establishing and nurturing relationships that contribute to our shared success. The key responsibilities of this role include:

- Working within a busy press office team, taking charge of media queries, and identifying proactive media opportunities to bolster SSE Energy Customer Solutions' reputation.
- Developing strong relationships with key media and external stakeholders to enhance and protect the organisation's external reputation.
- Supporting the development of public affairs and stakeholder engagement campaigns on behalf of the retail supply businesses in GB and Ireland.
- Planning thoughtful and creative proactive communication campaigns that align seamlessly with SSE Energy Customer Solutions' strategic goals and objectives.
- Developing content plans, distilling complex information into easily digestible messages, and drafting compelling narratives for use across multiple channels including new media.

**What do I need?**:
You’ll bring strong collaboration skills but be equally comfortable taking initiative and working independently. Your enthusiasm for learning and openness to support and development will be essential traits for success in this role. To be considered for this role, we’d love you to have:

- Experience of working within a busy communications team, press office or agency.
- Ability to plan effective campaigns and deliver high quality and engaging communication collaterals for media, internal communications, and public affairs campaigns.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to distil complex information into digestible communications outputs for use across various channels.
- Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
