About the role:

Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in challenging behaviours? We are looking for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and is committed to making a real difference in the lives of students with challenging behaviours. In this role, you will work closely with a talented team of educators to deliver exceptional support and tailored interventions for students across Key Stages 1 and 2. You will be instrumental in helping our students overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.

Application Requirements:

• Experience: Proven experience working with students with challenging behaviours and/or special educational needs.

• Skills: Strong behaviour management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a patient, empathetic approach.

• Qualifications: Relevant qualifications are preferred but not required; practical experience is highly valued.

• Commitment: A genuine passion for supporting students and contributing to their overall well-being and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Students: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students exhibiting challenging behaviours, helping them engage with the curriculum and achieve their academic goals.
• Implement Strategies: Use specialised techniques and strategies to manage and reduce challenging behaviours, ensuring a positive and conducive learning environment.
• Collaborate with Staff: Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to develop and implement personalised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management plans.

• Monitor Progress: Track and record students’ progress, providing regular updates to teachers and parents to ensure effective communication and support.

• Promote Well-being: Foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere, helping students build self-esteem and confidence while promoting positive behaviour and social skills.
