About the role:

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) with a specialization in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to join our vibrant team at our primary day school in Cheshunt. Our school, set against the serene backdrop of a beautiful forest, is a nurturing haven for children with autism and complex educational needs.
Accredited by the National Autistic Society, we pride ourselves on offering a supportive and enriching environment for our pupils. As our SEN-TA specializing in ASD, you will play a crucial role in supporting children across Key Stages 1 and 2.
Application Requirements:
• Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
• Strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by children with ASD.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Working closely with teachers to implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with ASD.
• Providing tailored support to help students achieve their academic and personal goals.
• Encouraging positive behavior and social interaction among students.
• Assisting with daily activities and transitions, ensuring a smooth and supportive learning environment.
• Collaborating with therapists and other professionals to deliver a holistic approach to each child’s development.
