About the role: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant specialising in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time, long-term position, offering a daily rate of £85-£100. This role has become available due to our commitment to expanding our SEN support team, reflecting our growing reputation as a leader in inclusive education. As an SEN TA, you will work closely with the class teacher to support a small group of children across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, adapting teaching methods and materials to meet the individual needs of students with ASD. You will be instrumental in creating a positive and nurturing environment, ensuring that each child feels valued and supported. Application Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in an educational setting.
  • A solid understanding of SEN practices and strategies for supporting children with ASD.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
  • A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or SEN is desirable but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing tailored support to students with ASD, helping them to engage with the curriculum and develop key skills.
  • Working alongside class teachers to plan and deliver differentiated lessons that meet the needs of individual students.
  • Implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitoring the progress of students against set targets.
  • Supporting students in both classroom settings and one-on-one or small group interventions.
  • Collaborating with the SENCO and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for each student.
  • Assisting with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources to support student engagement.
