My client is now recruiting for a M&A Manager to join their accountancy firm in London. The role offers a hybrid working, 2 days in office, 3 days at home.

The accountancy group has been established for 100+ years and has more than 700 staff.

Key responsibilities

This is a new role, working as part of the firms Accounts team, in which you would be responsible for oversight of acquisition processes including deal support, execution & integration liaison for new acquisitions for both the firm and the wider Investor group.

• Set up and maintain valuation scenario analysis on specific M&A targets including tracking other transactions in the sector and competitors
• Develop and implement an investment appraisals process to support decision making
• Prepare detailed valuation and financial effects models for potential acquisitions
• Manage and review due diligence data rooms and reports.
• Managing the due diligence trajectory and stakeholders involved
• Develop documentation for projects and meetings including internal presentations for the senior leadership team
• Supporting negotiations on the legal transaction documentation and transaction logistics
• Act as a key contact to external advisors during M&A activity
• Discussing integration strategy and guiding the management of the add-on through integration process
• Coordinating integration processes with Integration Team across various verticals (operations, reporting, HR, etc.) and input into the integration strategy
• Liaison with MKS finance team to ensure that the group can monitor and report on the performance of the integrated transactions, reviewing performance against budget and alignment with strategic goals

Skills & Expertise

• Financial analysis and modelling skills
• Experience working in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Provides exceptional delivery on acquisitions by taking personal ownership
• Commercial and pragmatic with an analytical and inquisitive nature
• Proactive, self-motivated, and practical
• Experienced working both independently and as part of a team
• Legal transaction documentation knowledge is a bonus
• Accountancy industry knowledge is strong plus
