About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated Registered Specialist Support Manager to work with the Operations Manager to lead a team of support staff to deliver 24 hours in a registered supported living services with 4 adults who have Learning disabilities and mental health and very complex behaviours. You will lead and directly line manage your team to deliver the highest quality of Positive Behavior Support service that meets and exceeds the expectations of the individuals who draw on it, their families, our commissioners, and our regulators. As the registered manager with CQC for the service, you will monitor and evaluate support practice working in close partnership with Complex Needs Leads, Quality Improvement Team, and external experts to develop and implement PBS best practice across your area About the candidate:

  • An expert in learning disability, mental health and PBS services, active support and person-centered-practice who leads your team by example, a role model for outstanding, personalised support, ensuring individuals who draw on our support are at the heart of all we do, and their needs are met.
  • You have considerable experience in managing resources and ensuring services operate within agreed budgets
  • Excellent leadership skills ensuring your team feels valued and supported, understand what is expected of them and have the skills and tools to undertake their role to the best of their ability
  • Ability to work in partnership with others both external and internal colleagues promoting a culture of co-production, where individuals and their circles of support are key partners in decision making and planning.
  • Have an eye for detail and be processed driven. Ensure Advance are fully compliant with contractual requirements, attend contracts meetings and manage the day-to-day relationships with community, contracts, and commissioning teams
  • You will be required to become the CQC registered manager for this specialist Support Services Must complete and be successful in CQC registration for Registered Manager once in post
  • Excellent report writing skills. The role requires working in conjunction with the Complex Needs Leads, compiling reports, ongoing monitoring and evaluation ensuring that Positive Behaviour Support Services achieve ongoing quality and audit assurance requirements
  • To lead and manage positive relationships with families, advocates, multi-disciplinary teams, and specialist health professionals
  • To be involved in the development and presentation of in-house training, coaching and development of staff on all aspects of PBS and Autism services and person-centred delivery including communities of practice, training workshops and events
  • The role requires Previous management experience working within Health and Social Care
  • Competent with IT
  • Able to manage staff effectively in line with policy and procedures
  • Experience of delivering high quality, personalised support within the Health and Social Care sector along with the ability to lead and motivate a team of people to deliver excellent services
  • You will need have a level 5 diploma in Health and Social care or be willing to undertake this training which will be provided.
  • This role requires you to work flexibly which could include working some weekends, bank holidays, waking nights or sleep in duties, if required
  • Understanding of the Data Protection Act (DPA) 2018 and General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and understand the importance of confidentiality
