About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Specialist Support Manager to lead a team of support staff in delivering high-quality Positive Behavior Support (PBS) services to individuals with complex needs. As the registered manager with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for the service, you will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating support practice, working in close partnership with Complex Needs Leads, Quality Improvement Team, and external experts to develop and implement PBS best practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and directly line manage a team of support staff to deliver high-quality PBS services that meet and exceed the expectations of individuals, their families, commissioners, and regulators.
  • Monitor and evaluate support practice, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to ensure the highest standards of care.
  • Work in close partnership with Complex Needs Leads, Quality Improvement Team, and external experts to develop and implement PBS best practice across the service.
  • Ensure the service operates within agreed budgets and resources, managing finances and staff effectively.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with families, advocates, multi-disciplinary teams, and specialist health professionals.
  • Compile reports, ongoing monitoring, and evaluation to ensure that PBS services achieve ongoing quality and audit assurance requirements.
  • Lead and manage positive relationships with families, advocates, multi-disciplinary teams, and specialist health professionals.
  • Develop and present in-house training, coaching, and development of staff on all aspects of PBS and Autism services and person-centered delivery.
  • Previous management experience working within Health and Social Care, with a Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care or willingness to undertake this training.
  • Competent with IT, able to manage staff effectively in line with policy and procedures, and experience of delivering high-quality, personalized support within the Health and Social Care sector.
