Learning Resource Centre Manager

Learning Resource Centre Manager – Haringey – September 2024 A large Haringey Secondary School are looking for a hardworking, confident and resourceful Learning Resource Centre Manager to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2024. This role is working Monday to Friday, term time only.
The successful Learning Resource Centre Manager will be responsible for the management, development and promotion of the Learning Resource Centre within the school to ensure that an effective learning resource service is provided to all students and staff.
Although this is a large school, it still has a wonderful community feel where all staff and pupils feel valued and supported. Pupils in this school are well behaved, motivated, hardworking and enjoy their time in school. The successful Learning Resource Centre Manager will be responsible for the management, development and promotion of the Learning Resource Centre within the school to ensure that an effective learning resource service is provided to all students and staff.
Provide a stimulating but calm learning environment that facilitates independent learners to utilise a variety of e-learning and other resources to support them in engaging with the curriculum and fulfilling their potential.
Plan and oversee the organisation and management of the LRC including the financial management of the LRC resource budget and the preparation of financial estimates for furniture and fittings.
Selection, acquisition, organisation, promotion and maintenance of books, e-learning resources and other resources to cover the full age and ability range of the HWS Community.
Deliver English lessons to Year 7s as required.
Have responsibility for the provision of extended learning opportunities and support for students outside of normal school hours.
Provide guidance and strategies to students on appropriate strategies for the selection of information resources to undertake assignments both from within school and the wider community.
Provide guidance on the safe and appropriate use of computers and the internet.
Act as a performance management team leader for relevant staff.
Liaise with external agencies to ensure that the maximum use is made of appropriate materials and information provided by key support services and outside organisations.
