We are currently recruiting for a Housing Solutions Officer, to be

part of the Housing Solutions Team, the team is a dynamic

service with a vision of Preventing Homelessness.

The role is not full time remote working and will require attendance to the office on a regular basis.

As a Housing Solutions Officer, you will be an integral member of the team. You will be a key point of contact for service users and stakeholders, to deliver the Council’s statutory obligations under the

Housing Act 1996, Part VII Homelessness and the Homelessness

Reduction Act 2017.

- GCSE Grade A-C English/Maths or equivalent

Willing to work towards or hold appropriate housing qualification or equivalent at Level 2.

We are looking for a positive, adaptable and motivated person who wants to help move our service forward and is continually seeking to improve customer service.

The successful candidate will have:

- A significant working knowledge of the Homelessness Legislation particularly the 2002 Homelessness Act.

-Recent experience of working in a public sector service or housing related environment

-Recent and relevant experience of dealing directly with the members of the public and understanding customer care issues

-Excellent organisational skills in terms of service planning, prioritising work, time management, effective use of resources and performance evaluation

-The ability to be articulate in expressing ideas to generate collective resolutions to problems

-The ability to work under pressure, sometimes dealing with individuals or subject matters that can be emotive and demanding

-Excellent written, verbal communication and numerical skills.
