As the Compliance Process and Training Coordinator, you will be responsible for upholding the company’s standards, in regard to Health and Safety, Food Safety and product compliance, through robust documentation and training. You will be responsible for planning, organising and the instruction of all in house training, and to arrange external training as required. The role will include the development of training material such as Safe Systems of Work and Standard Operating procedure, as well as assisting the Technical Manager and Operations Manager with the formulation and writing of procedures and risk assessments.


You key duties will include:

• Create training material in the form of Safe Systems of work, Standard Operating Procedures, Toolbox Talks, HACCP etc.

• Set up and manage a training schedule to identify training needs.

• Work with site operations to formulate a skills Matrix and conduct gap analysis.

• Conduct in-house training relating to Health and safety, Food Safety, technical and process procedures, from on-boarding induction level, refresher trainings through to specific process tasks.

• Arrange any external training requirements such as First Aid & Fire training.

• Monitor and review training effectiveness and implement actions to aid continuous improvement.

• Assist with and documentation of risk assessments for onsite work activities and identify potential hazards.

• Assist with the documentation of procedures, policies as required.

• Assist with H&S internal audits, generate reports with corrective and preventative actions and communicate findings.

• Oversee and manage external equipment calibrations and servicing.

• Liaise with the Technical Manager in coordinating online training modules for staff. i.e. COSHH, Manual Handling, Level 2 Food Safety


You'll need to have experience in the food or food related manufacturing industry and have IOSH managing/working safely qualification or CIEH level 3 Food Safety or above.

Demonstrable experience of developing, implementing and instruction of workplace training for either health and Safety and/or Food Safety.

An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal, problem solving and influencing skills.

An enthusiastic promoter and leader of a safe working environment.

Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
