The role sits one grade below the senior leadership team, working alongside and reporting to the Chief Executive Officer.


Key Responsibilities:


Shareholder & Financial

  • Implements KPI’s and best practices for role.
  • Promote cost consciousness and efficiency and enhance productivity, to minimize cost, avoid waste, and optimize benefits for the business.
  • Act within the limits of the powers delegated to the incumbent and delegate authority to the respective staff and monitor exercise of the same.
  • Demonstrate clear understanding of the important factors behind the groups’ financial & non-financial performance.


Customer (Internal & External)

  • Manage all HR related transactions in the assigned countries and ensure they are attended to in a timely manner.
  • Assist in finalization of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with other divisions/ departments with respect to information required to be submitted by them for international HR manpower planning, recruitment process, staff training and development plans, performance management, succession planning etc. for the assigned countries.
  • Build and maintain strong and effective relationship with all other related departments and units to achieve the group’s goals/ objectives.
  • Provide timely and accurate information to the external and internal executive directors and the compliance function as and when required.


Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory)

  • Manage HR operations in the assigned countries by performing a wide range of human resource functions.
  • Conduct and oversee payroll activities in a zero-error manner.
  • Coordinate countries staffing and recruiting activities including coordination of internal and external advertising in conjunction with the Executive Directors.
  • Assist the conduct of targeted selection interviews, coach concerned heads on targeted selection processes, advise line managers on candidate suitability and salary package.
  • Provide advice to assigned country heads, officers and staff on benefits and information regarding salary package composition.
  • Provide information towards salary benchmarking exercises in line with the countries practices and provide information to Compensation & Benefits on salary packages and market information.
  • Oversee the counselling and performance management and provide support and guidance to employees, facilitate employee counselling sessions, and provide advice related to grievance and disciplinary procedures.
  • Facilitate the performance management processes, coach managers on conducting performance reviews, and coach employees on the performance management systems and processes.
  • Oversee the accomplishment of activities relating to employment relations and legislation in the assigned countries by serving as the first point of contact for employee questions and grievances.
  • Update the management on local and international employment legislations, compliance requirements and changes impacting the workforce.
  • Oversee the implementation of HR programs in the assigned countries including: Annual / Mid-Year Performance Reviews / Annual Salary Reviews /Incentive Plan Distribution and Payment /Employee Opinion Surveys /Development / implementation of local HR initiatives or ad-hoc projects /Other programs as they arise / Take on other ad hoc projects and tasks relating to the assigned countries, as and when required.

  • Proactively identify areas for professional development of self and undertake development activities.
  • Seek out opportunities to remain current with all developments in the HR professional field.
  • Hold meetings with staff and assess their performance and team’s overall performance on a regular basis.
  • Take decisive action to ensure speedy resolution of unresolved grievances or conflicts within the team members.
  • Identify development opportunities and activities for staff and facilitate/coach them to improve their effectiveness and prepare them to assume greater responsibilities.


Legal, Regulatory, and Risk Framework Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements including, but not limited to, Group Compliance Policies and Procedures (AML & CTF, Sanctions Policy, Data Protection Policy, Fraud Control Policy, Whistle Blowing Policy, Conflict of Interest, and Insider Dealing Policy).
  • Understand and effectively perform your role under the Three Lines of Defense principle to identify measure, monitor, manage and report risks.
  • Ensure systematic good outcomes for clients in accordance with Conduct Risk policy.
  • Support the framework of KPI’s Incident reporting and remediation, as appropriate, in accordance with the Operational Risk Management requirements.
  • Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure full qualifications to undertake the role.
  • Complete all mandatory training provided by the company if required, attain, and maintain the required levels of competences.
  • Attend mandatory (internal and external) seminars as instructed by the company if required.


Other:

  • Ensure high standards of data protection and confidentiality to safeguard commercially sensitive information.
  • Maintaining utmost confidentiality concerning clients and internal company information obtained during the course of business and provide such information on a need to know basis only to Senior Management, Audit and Compliance functions, and relevant Regulators.
  • Maintain high professional standards to uphold the company’s reputation and to strengthen its market leadership position.
  • All other ad hoc duties/activities related to company that senior management might request from time to time.


Professional Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in human resources preferably from an International commercial or hospitality industry entailing responsibilities for HR operations.
  • Fluency in English, another language is a plus.
  • University graduate preferably with a degree specializing in Human Resources (CIPD) or Business Administration.
  • Experience working in Financial Services / Luxury sector desirable.
