We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our team.


HUBER+SUHNER Phoenix Dynamics Ltd is a specialist manufacturer of electrical cable assemblies for some of the most challenging environments. From our facility in Staffordshire, we support a growing list of blue-chip customers in markets including Aerospace, Defence, Nuclear and Motorsport. As part of the company’s growth plans, the Business Development Manager will generate new business opportunities and develop them into customer accounts.


Responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities with new and existing customers.

• Grow the new business opportunity pipeline.

• Develop and deploy business development plans to convert the opportunities into sales.

• Regular communication with customers, including site visits and in-person meetings.

• Regular communication with internal departments to update and motivate on new business opportunities.

• Supervise the quotation process for your customer’s enquiries to ensure timely responses and follow-ups.

• Update and maintain the company’s CRM system to track opportunities and log customer activity.

• Produce monthly sales reports and forecasts.

• Report activities and opportunities to the Senior Management Team.

• Actively contribute to the strategic development plans of HSPD to ensure continued profitable growth.

• Regular visits to the HSPD facilities and other H+S sites when required.

• Attend and support trade shows, conferences and other industry events.

• Deliver company presentations to promote HSPD’s capabilities.

• Deputise for the Commercial Director when required.

• Regular UK and Overseas travel will be required and therefore overnight stays will be an essential part of this role.


Requirements

• At least 5 years sales/business development experience within an Electronic/Electrical manufacturing environment (ideally within the aerospace & defence sectors).

• Computer literate and fully conversant with MS Office software packages.

• Ability to interpret technical drawings.

• Confident communicator.

• Well organised, disciplined and self-motivated.

• Full driving licence.

Desirable:

• HND/HNC or above in an appropriate Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic discipline.

• Knowledge of Cable Harnessing and Electrical Interconnect Components.
