About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join a prestigious high-end event caterer based in SW London. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with some of London's most iconic venues, including museums, palaces, galleries, and historic sites.
The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of industry contacts and a proactive approach to expanding the companys reach into new venues, greenfield sites, and large-scale accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development:
- Identify and secure new business opportunities by introducing the companys services to new venues, greenfield sites, and corporate clients.
- Leverage existing industry contacts to quickly generate leads and secure contracts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with venue managers, event planners, and corporate clients.
- Client Engagement:
- Confidently represent the company in meetings with high-profile venues and businesses across London.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring all client needs are met and exceeded.
- Occasionally assist with the planning side of events, working closely with clients to ensure their vision is realized.
- Sales Strategy:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute campaigns that drive new business.
- Track and report on sales performance, adjusting strategies as needed to meet objectives.
- Creative Collaboration:
- Work on event proposals that may include décor, creative quoting, and ensuring all aspects of the clients needs are addressed.
- Demonstrate a passion for food and creativity in event design, contributing ideas that enhance the client experience.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience:Proven track record in a business development role within the event catering industry. A well-established network of industry contacts is essential.
- Sales Acumen:Strong sales and negotiation skills with a history of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Personality:Outgoing, personable, and confident with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Creativity:A love of food and a creative mindset, with experience in event planning or collaboration on event design.
- Flexibility:Ability to work across multiple projects and adapt to client needs and preferences.
- Industry Knowledge:Familiarity with Londons leading event spaces and corporate sectors.
