Job purpose

The Partner & Contract Manager will be responsible for the management of related party agreements and ensuring that services are delivered , providing day to day commercial and contractual management, sourcing of third party services (non-related party), leading governance forums whilst ensuring relationship management with internal and external teams.

This role will establish significant collaboration across VMO2 and nexfibre at Senior Leadership level, negotiating change and escalation management.

Working in conjunction with the internal team members, with the overall objective of ensuring that the services provided are led according to the agreed contractual commitments.


Key accountabilities

  • Working in a high growth, entrepreneurial and dynamic environment, focused on the highest standards of implementation and delivery.
  • Responsible for oversight of related party services. Co-ordinate all aspects of the service across VMO2 including commercial, financial, operations, receipt and compliance.
  • Support the business to ensure that VMO2’s obligations under related party agreements are delivered and that the company delivers against the agreed roadmap and project plans.
  • Lead and participate in relevant Governance Models providing contractual and commercial leadership, and intensifying disputes.
  • Establish relationships groups within nexfibre to ensure the any agreements are fully communicated, understood and accessible to our internal team members.
  • Support in the creation/execution external sourcing strategy in addition to ensuring compliance with sourcing processes & strategy.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders regarding any service issues, where needed initiate and drive service improvement with the various stakeholders and escalate internally and externally as required.
  • Take ownership of the roadmap management of the services including input to the budget planning process.
  • Preparation and governance presentation of inputs to the contract Change Management Procedure and dispute process.
  • Matrix management of personnel involved in the receipt (and delivery where applicable) of services at SLT level that include all VMO2 SLT, nexfibre and shareholders covering technology, operational, commercial functions, key collaborators (finance, legal, CTIO).
  • Evaluating and optimising governance and associated processes to ensure maximum value creation.


Knowledge & experience

  • Preferred degree level or equivalent in a commercial area such as business studies, finance, sourcing and service management, or proven experience within a similar environment.
  • Proven record of sophisticated contractual management, relationship/operational experience and addressing problems and delivering effective solutions.
  • Proficient in contract interpretation, drafting and negotiation.
  • Commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Experience and appreciation of operating in a customer focused environment essential.
  • Proficient in standard office applications with reporting/analytical experience.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively (verbally and written) with audiences at all levels.
  • Ability to interface at the most senior levels (Director, MD, C-Level…) internally and externally within the Procurement, customer groups or peer operator groups.
  • Positive relationship building, collaboration and influencing skills.
  • Able to dynamically respond to both strategic and tactical requirements.
  • Have the courage to deal with customers internally and externally, including management, senior management in achieving the goals of the team and nexfibre.
