Key Purpose


Leadership – Be the energetic and inspirational figurehead and role model, who makes decisions, delivers on promises and drives the business forward at pace. Be responsible for effective engagement with all key stakeholders; internally within Mobile Doctors and Kuro Health and externally with key industry stakeholders, the bank, accountants and MedCo. Represent the business externally.

People – Ensure the necessary and appropriate resources are deployed and structured to meet the strategic objectives. Sustain an enduring, collaborative, high-performing team and structure, by underpinning the future through the development of leadership talent and succession planning.

Culture – Set the tone from the top, particularly in relation to our customers, and valuing our people as our greatest asset to be developed. Operate a culture of openness, encouraging relentless, constructive and robust challenge to support effective decision-making. Allow entrepreneurism to prosper, especially with regard to seeking and embracing change, learning from mistakes and creatively solving new problems.

Strategy Design – Have deep and informed insights on the relevant external environment and the standing of the business in this context. Fully assess and report on the opportunities to the Senior Management Team and in doing so define and refine with the SMT the long-term sustainable strategy for the business. 

Commercial – Responsible for ensuring there is a clear and embedded business plan, to support the strategy and future development for the business, which is appropriately resourced and reported on at all times.

Performance/Strategic Execution – Be accountable for constantly monitoring performance and delivery against the set of strategic objectives. Openly share information throughout the business on performance and other relevant matters.

Internal Control Framework - Maintain a framework of prudent and effective controls to allow supervision of performance and management of all legal, regulatory, contractual and internal obligations within risk appetite. The framework should enable empowered, prompt and efficient decision-making on all risks and opportunities.


Key accountabilities & responsibilities


  • Performance oversight and delivery on strategic objectives and measures, including hitting Plan and growth targets.
  • MedCo Responsible Officer – be accountable for the overall compliance with the MOJs QC and MRO User Agreement. Deal primarily with key issues (e.g. areas of potential non-compliance) that relate to MedCo. See role profile for Responsible Officer.
  • Support and provide an adequate level of resource into the establishment, implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of the information security management system and maintaining the ISO27001 accreditation.
  • Ensure the business consistently has the optimal organisational design.
  • Ownership of the People Plan and ultimately employee engagement.
  • Establish and maintain the appropriate culture to support delivery of the strategic objectives.
  • Management of all key stakeholders, internal and external, and the Communication Plan.
  • Continually identify all possible ways (particularly through the use of technology, process improvements and customer service) to improve the customer experience and satisfaction.
  • Establish and maintain a suitable external profile and continuously gather deep market insights to support the development of the business.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of the strategy and long-term vision.
  • Ensure there is an effectively functioning governance and risk framework to provide assurance that all risks, obligations and opportunities are appropriately managed.
  • At all times conduct themselves in accordance with their own professional standards and the Ethics Policy.
  • Ensure the business operates ethically, paying particular attention to the MedCo Ethics Policy detailed in schedule 2 of the MedCo MRO User Agreement.


Key Competencies

  • Demonstrable experience of successfully managing challenging client relationships at a senior level
  • P&L management experience
  • Outsourcing experience preferably as a supplier of services
  • Track record of managing system and process change, and evaluating and planning the impact on operational delivery
  • Competent user of main Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Project)
  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills
  • Excellent organiser and planner
  • Highly developed leadership skills

Role conditional on passing employee vetting process which includes a 5 year employment reference check, 3 year financial probity and basic criminal disclosure check.
