GAP Talent are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager for a leading hospitality group in the Caribbean. The Commercial Manager will oversee the financial, contractual, and commercial aspects of resort construction projects in the Caribbean.


This role involves managing budgets, contracts, procurement, and cost control processes to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and project milestones are met.
  • Prepare, negotiate, and manage contracts with contractors, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Oversee the procurement process for materials, equipment, and services required for construction projects.
  • Implement cost control measures to manage project expenses and prevent cost overruns.
  • Identify and mitigate financial and commercial risks associated with construction projects.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders, including developers, architects, engineers, and local authorities.
  • Work closely with project managers to develop and maintain project schedules.
  • Ensure that construction work meets the required quality standards and specifications.
  • Lead and mentor a team of commercial staff, providing guidance and support.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a commercial management role within the construction industry, preferably in resort or hospitality projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost control.
  • Proven experience in budget management and financial reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in project management software and financial management tools.
  • Professional certifications such as MRICS, PMP, or equivalent.
