As a Nuclear Technical Engineer you will work within our dynamic, customer facing INA team, delivering Independent Assurance services to MoD. Our main office is in Birchwood, Warrington, however we work flexibly and will consider alternative locations to base staff. While we are primarily looking for full time staff we will also consider other flexible working patterns for the right candidates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provision of Independent Nuclear Safety Assessment (INSA) and Independent Technical Assessment (ITA) of nuclear safety cases and their supporting technical documents issued in support of NRP throughout its lifecycle
  • Co-ordinating advice across a range of technical disciplines to ensure that MoD are provided with impartial, authoritative, balanced and proportionate assessments and advice
  • Being the point of contact for the customer, attending relevant safety and technical meetings on behalf of INA

  • Complying with information security requirements
  • Delivering to meet agreed programmes and budgets

Here's what you'll need:
  • Degree or equivalent professional training in science or engineering

  • Excellent consultancy/communication skills and the ability to work directly and effectively with the customer
  • Ability to work effectively across a range of tasks and liaise with personnel from multiple technical disciplines
  • Enthusiasm and aptitude for clear and concise technical writing is important
