About us: White & Clayton are working with one of our loyal clients who are an exciting and growing company dedicated to producing high-quality food products. We are currently seeking a motivated National Account Manager who can work in a remote location in the UK.


Job Description: Responsible for development and management of all customer relationships across Retail, Wholesale and Out of home, ultimately delivering against agreed sales KPIs and driving growth of volume and value.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop annual and seasonal sales strategies and set sales targets.
  • Build strong, working relationships with customers and identify new business opportunities.
  • Work closely with production and export on carcass utilisation, balance and monetising waste streams.
  • Work closely with the entire sales and marketing team to develop the farm to consumer product requirements and align these with availability and future development of livestock / farming.
  • Work closely with and take responsibility for customer specific marketing and promotional activity.
  • Work alongside the Managing Director, finance and production teams to set accurate long term costings, price forecasting and weekly pricing levels.
  • Regularly visit customers, and from time to time attend trade shows on behalf of the company.
  • Work alongside production and technical to ensure correct delivery of required product to customer specification.
  • Work closely with logistics to deliver stock efficiently and time effectively, ensuring availability.
  • Compile and analyse sales figures and report back,
  • General administrative duties include entering orders and dealing with issues efficiently.
  • Keep up to date with market changes, pricing structures, ranges and competitors.
  • Work as part of the team with an approach of continuous improvement.
  • Work with the sales and marketing team to set and manage the annual sales and marketing budget.
  • Lead from the front on demonstrating the organisation’s workplace culture.
  • Take a high performance, collaborative, and empowered approach, influencing effectively at all levels at site and across the business matrix.

  • The ability to work within a team as well as working and traveling independently.
  • Able to maintain a professional manner in all aspects of their work.
  • Able to use a computer and the main software packages competently.
  • Able to work well and remain calm under pressure.
  • Work at ease within a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate initiative to proactively deal with problems before they escalate.
  • Adaptable, flexible in approach.


Education & Experience:

  • Significant experience of developing sales and strong customer relationships.
  • Positive profile / connections with food and drink businesses desirable.
  • Previous experience working in a Commercial or Sales capacity within the food sector, preferably the meat industry an advantage.
  • Training/experience in costings / price setting essential.
