We are working on a fantastic opportunity that doesn't come around too often. The client has an international presence and a significant stake in their sector. This is very much an opportunity to lead from the front and influence and shape key decisions within the business. New business development, bid management, profitability and change management will all feature heavily.

More About the role:

The mission will be to drive strategic business growth through targeted new business approach whilst enhancing the offering of existing customers with retention in mind. This role is key in the growth and future planning of the business and will play a significant part in maintaining and developing the current customer base.

Positive influencing skills are key to success as you will be guiding and developing the team around you. CRM management, tendering and presentations, strategy building and financial reporting at board level are areas of experience the ideal candidate will possess.

Ideal Head of Business Growth:

  • Business Development experience in both new business and retention, within the foodservice sector. Sales and negotiation skillsets along with excellent relationship building.
  • Strategic planning, strong financial understanding, excellent communication skills, team management experience including oversite of bid and tender teams.
  • An adaptable and analytical approach, a real self-motivator who can influence those around them.
  • Experience within the catering or retail space is of paramount importance and applications will not be considered without relevant senior leadership sales experience in this space.
  • Proven experience of delivering and exceeding targets within a sales driven role.
  • Account management experience with an understanding in how to enhance current offerings whilst maximising return for the company and customer enhancement.
  • 3-5 year account planning and sales strategy experience along with forecast modelling aligning with overall company strategy.
