The ideal candidate would be able to provide forecasting, budgeting, analytics, monthly reporting & implementing process improvements. Support the local finance team on orders booking, project reviews and have working knowledge within SAP. This role will be a hybrid role of remote and office working from our clients engineering HUB in Stone Staffordshire.

The opportunity will initially be a temporary position (6 months) with the possibility to move into a permanent role for the right candidate

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day local controlling SAP support for Transformers and Service Business Units
  • Prepare journals and accruals
  • Prepare overhead allocations
  • Reconcile and review key balance sheet accounts e.g. stock, provisions
  • Resolve errors
  • Provide month end Abacus reporting support (input to Abacus by SAS)
  • Balance sheet reconciliation and review
  • Prepare cost centre correction journals (where required)
  • Headcount reconciliation and reporting
  • Sales expenses variance analysis
  • Provide local finance and accounting support to the business
  • Cash flow forecasts
  • Manage and review the FX forward contracts
  • Manage intra-business recharges
  • Provide support to the annual budget and rolling forecast processes
  • Support Annual budget process
  • Prepare local cost centre budgets for input to SAP
  • Update the monthly rolling forecast in BI
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting, troubleshooting and analysis when required
  • Provide support to GBS with the completion of the Abacus reporting packs
  • Act as focal point for day-to-day FI/CO enquiries from GBS
  • Assist with the development of local management reports
  • Prepare backup info for External

Criteria
Essential
  • Qualified or Part-qualified CIMA, ACCA or similar
  • Experience in an Accounting or Controlling environment
  • Good understanding of SAP FI and CO modules
  • Understanding of SOX 404 compliance
  • Advanced Excel skills essential (must be able to demonstrate use of pivot tables, look-ups and filters)

  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Lotus Notes
