Senior Change Manager

  • The role of the Change Manager is to proactively support the business to prepare for, deliver and adopt a wide variety of change activity and initiatives, with a focus on the human behaviour and the people impact of change and embedding new ways of working within the organization.
  • The role provides an important bridge across multiple business areas, acting as a partner to the business to help them better understand the broader change landscape. This includes the creation and implementation of change management strategies and plans that maximise business buy-in and employee adoption, minimising resistance to achieve sustained outcomes.
  • This role will be focused on delivering change across key UK and Operational Excellence programmes / projects.

We will rely on you to:

  • Partner with business leaders as a Change subject matter expert and trusted advisor.
  • Partner with Business Leaders, Programme and Project managers, leading on and integrating change management activities into the overall business / programme objectives and delivery plans.
  • Build change leadership and management capability to understand and adopt the change (conducting training and workshops where necessary)
  • Ability to develop change management strategies, identify & manage change risks & issues, and to operate/interact with project, program and business leaders.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyse high complexity issues, develop hypotheses and recommend solutions.
  • Lead and run change projects, partnering with Business Leaders, Programme and Project managers, integrating change management activities into the overall business / programme objectives and delivery plans.
  • Understands the impact of changes; Identify potential people-side risks and anticipated points of resistance, and develop specific plans to mitigate or address the concerns and escalate issues in a timely manner.
  • Ability to develop specific change strategies / plans, based on a situational awareness of the details of the change and the groups being impacted by the change.
  • Conduct readiness assessments, evaluate results and present findings in a logical and easy-to-understand manner.
  • Oversee development of actionable and targeted change management plans – including communication plan, stakeholder analysis, communications and training plans.
  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress with a particular focus on adoption, utilisation and proficiency of individual changes.
  • Educate, Influence and Coach business leaders and key stakeholders, to help them think about change from a people focused prospective, and how they can embed effective change management approaches into their own strategies, objectives, plans and deliverables.
  • Work with business stakeholders, change champions/agents to prepare affected business areas and colleagues for transition to new ways of working, including developing, leading and delivering coaching sessions and workshops as required.

What you need to have:

  • Experience of change management experience within a large complex organisation, including experience of working with and across multiple functions and business areas.
  • Business Change experience not IT Change
  • A solid understanding of how people go through change and the change process.
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
  • Flexible and adaptable.
  • Professional training and certification, such as APMG, CCMP or Prosci.
  • Familiarity with project / programme management approaches, processes and lifecycles.
  • Strong people, relationship and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable with providing advice and constructive challenge to Stakeholders / Project Teams.
  • A solid understanding of how different people, personalities and organisational cultures approach and adopt change.
