We have a fantastic opportunity for a CATEC Management Coordinator at Manchester City Council, this is a full-time temporary role for the next 3 months, with the possibility of extension.

What is the role?

Manchester City Council are looking for an (CATEC Management Coordinator), The Community Alarm and Technology Enabled Care Team is seeking a Coordinator to join the service. The Community Alarm and Technology Enabled Care Team installs and monitors various pieces of technology in over 4,300 vulnerable customers' homes across the city.

What are your responsibilities?

  • This is an exciting opportunity for someone to enhance their existing management skills, develop relationships across multiple sectors and influence processes.
  • This is a front-line 24-hour service operating 365 days per week.
  • As a service we are audited annually by the Telecare Services Association, which is an external body.
  • You will play a key role in coordinating a busy, fast-paced, high-performing team.
  • The coordinator will manage a varied team of Response Officers, Installation Officers and Business Support.
  • You will need to be flexible and able to manage multiple tasks at once.
  • This is a rewarding role and an opportunity for someone to make a real difference to Manchester residents, working closely with professionals across Adult Social Care and MLCO, helping them remain independent in their own homes, preventing and delaying a more intrusive care package.

What skills do you Need?

  • You must ideally have previous experience as an CATEC Management Coordinator, and or experience of managing a team of staff covering roles.
  • Must have strong IT Skills, as you will be using Microsoft office package, as well as internal IT systems as well.
  • Excellent Telephone manner
  • Excellent people skills, as you will be speaking to the public, other members of staff and managers.
  • Valid Enhanced DBS on the update Service
  • 35 hours per week office hours Monday to Friday
