Financial Reporting Manager - Public Sector Body / Charity

£400 - £425 per day with potential to go permanent

Permanent salary £ £68000

Charity SORP FRS102 experience essential

Hybrid working 2-3 days a week in the office in London.

The role of Financial Reporting Manager will lead on all financial reporting processes for the organisation. The role will work alongside different departments, providing financial information and analysis to senior management helping them make more informed decisions and driving business strategy.

The main duties may include:
  • Line management responsibility of Financial Accountant and junior finance staff
  • Responsibility for the treasury function, overseeing all investments, funds and budget sheet reconciliation
  • Lead the annual statutory accounts process and coordination of audit deliverables.
  • Working to tight deadlines and closing or escalating issues raised by the external auditors, whilst leading Regulatory Reporting Process.
  • Accountable for the delivery of statutory and regulatory financial reporting with a focus on overseas entities.
  • Production of statutory accounts, management reporting and submission of regulatory returns.
  • The successful candidate will lead the Oversight and operation of controls, ensuring that they are adequately designed and operating effectively.
    Skills and experience we're looking for:
    • Recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, etc.)
    • Good knowledge and understanding of current accounting standards, and ability to perform technical accounting research and present conclusions.
    • Experience of assessing financial risks and designing and operating suitable controls to mitigate those risks.
    • Experience at, or as an auditor of, a not-for-profit organisation
    • Staff management experience in a multi-site and/or hybrid working environment
    • Strong system and spreadsheet skills
