Group Sustainability Reporting Manager

Group Sustainability Reporting Manager

Location:
Flexible if you are prepared to travel - main locations London/Leeds/Dublin

The Role:

You will play an important role supporting the strategic delivery of the Group sustainability strategy (our Positive Impact Plan) through your ESG and/or financial reporting expertise. We are looking for transversal skills which may or may not have been gained in an ESG context. You may be an ESG Reporting expert, or you may have spent much of your career in financial reporting, risk management or data analytics, but are wanting to make the move into Sustainability. This role would be perfect for someone who combines good programme/project management skills with a head for process development, technology change and articulating data. We are a social, collaborative, sleeves-rolled up team who like solving big challenging problems together. This role can be based in the UK (London/Leeds office hubs), Dublin or further afield if time zone compatible and you are able to travel. We have adopted a new way of working to give you the flexibility to work your way, but team meetings and Group events are a must do.

Accountabilities:

External Reporting, Governance and Compliance - managing our overall ESG external disclosure and reporting programme of work including:
Project managing and coordinating our annual external reporting contribution to our annual reporting cycle, and standalone Sustainability Report across geographic jurisdictions including the US, UK, and EU. You will do this working with a wide team of stakeholders while utilising and integrating available and incoming technology enablers including: Workiva; Salesforce; Workday, and EcoVadis.Significantly contribute to CSRD and SEC ESG disclosure preparedness by working with the Group Head of Sustainability Strategy; Positive Impact Plan Group Heads; Group Reporting PM; Group Finance; Group Risk, and Divisional teams to establish Group-led, but divisionally operated, data processes, systems and controls which enable robust and ultimately assurable sustainability reporting from our federated business model. Work with our autonomous Environment team to coordinate and offer guidance on their contribution to the above including annual reporting requirements and internal management reporting cadence (currently TCFD disclosures, preparation for CSRD/ESRS disclosure in 2026, and SEC climate disclosures in 2027).Manage and coordinate current (GHG) and incoming (CSRD / SEC required) ESG assurance process including managing internal audit process and outputs with Positive Impact Plan pillar Heads, and external assurance consultancy programmes of work.Identifying opportunities to use assurance to further enhance the credibility of Flutter's Positive Impact Plan by closing gaps and implementing best practice alongside Sustainability Leadership Team.In time contribute to the strategic evolution of our reporting metrics beyond compliance to business change. What does the data tell us we could do better/should try.

Internal Management Reporting
Project manage, coordinate and evolve our ongoing quarterly internal management reporting requirements which include: ExCo reports; board Risk and Sustainability Committee reports; inputs into the Sustainability Working Group, ad hoc the Audit Committee, and the Safer Gambling Sub-Committee (supporting Play Well pillar lead and data manager). Manage this transversally across each of our four sustainability pillars. This Governance is a priority and significant part of the role.Driving improvement and changeWorking with Group Head of Sustainability Strategy; Investor Relations; Group Risk, Compliance, and Treasury to drive our strategic approach to ESG Ratings Agencies; Asset Manager, and Credit Ratings agencies to: (1) improve our scores by driving operational change following our strategic plan; (2) build and maintain our library of responses; and (3) manage responses in a timely manner.Monitor competitor and broader Sustainability activity, enable continued benchmarking of Flutter's performance in sustainability.Continuously scan best practice in Sustainability reporting, market practices and regulatory/standards development. Identify implications for the Group, and make recommendations for improved Sustainability performance and reporting outputs, working closely with pillar SMEs; Group Head of Regulatory and Policy and Group Head of Sustainability Strategy and Engagement.

Key skills and experience sort:
You will have demonstrable project management skills gained through your day-to-day experience, or inside formal PM environment. You will be comfortable with data but not necessarily a data scientist or technical analyst. You need to comfortable being part of our second line of defence (along with pillar leads and our SME data analysts) during an audit/assurance process and reporting cycles. You will be happy in Excel and PowerPoint and can convert information in one to the other for internal management reporting purposes: helping us tell our story. You will have support from the Group Head of Sustainability Strategy and Engagement; our PM; Pillar leads and our data SMEs in this work.Experience using Workiva in a financial or ESG setting would be a bonus but not prerequisite.Familiarity with either financial or non-financial (Sustainability) annual reporting cycles.Proven experience working constructively with third party organisations for example, Management Consultancies; Advisory Firms, Legal Firms etc.ESG reporting experience is desirable, but we are also keen to hear from candidates with significant governance, financial reporting, and/or risk experience. This is a fast-evolving space that needs transversal skills. You will like to get stuck in, and prefer solving problems to identifying them and passing them to others. You will balance attention to detail with an ability to see the bigger picture. You will enjoy working as part of a high-performing, collaborative team.
