Role Overview
As the Director of Sustainability Data and Reporting, you will play a pivotal role in advancing UAL's net zero and social responsibility initiatives. Your responsibilities will include crafting and executing a thorough sustainability data strategy, working collaboratively with various departments across the University to fulfill our data and reporting requirements. In your capacity as a representative of the Data & Planning Team on the Net Zero Working Group, you will assess data needs, pinpoint deficiencies, and suggest innovative solutions. Your leadership will be crucial in guiding a cross-institutional team towards achieving our net zero objectives, ensuring a transition that is equitable and incorporates considerations of social justice and biodiversity.
About You
We are looking for an innovative leader with a solid history of formulating and executing data strategies, especially in relation to sustainability and net zero ambitions. You should possess substantial experience with extensive datasets, data governance, and data analytics, including expertise in tools such as SQL and Power BI. A comprehensive understanding of data architecture, warehousing, and governance is vital, along with the capability to convert complex data into actionable insights.
Familiarity with sustainability metrics, carbon accounting, and environmental impact evaluations is essential. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate diverse groups are imperative.
