We are looking for a dynamic leader who has a clear strategic sales approach and drives reactive sales as well as event and group planning for five of our wonderful properties in Central London:

  • London Marriott Hotel County Hall

  • London Marriott Hotel Maida Vale

As our diverse client base ranges from senior corporates to leisure groups and specialist segments and for all types of groups, events, dinners and social events. You should be someone who builds strong relationships with ease and creates a personalised service differentiating the hotels from the competition.

What you will be doing

  • Responsible for achieving the group and banquet budget through a strategically sound pricing strategy to ensure optimal sales and the highest occupancy of our function rooms and hotel rooms
  • Leading the managers of the reactive sales team, including staff appraisals, staff planning, structure and organization
  • In communication and coordination with the sales and revenue team, the development of new and implementation of existing, sales-promoting strategies as well as adaptation of these with regard to the current room occupancy and booking situation of banquet rooms, calculation of room rentals, conference packages and social event packages
  • Implementing standards and ensuring the highest possible event satisfaction
  • Preparation and approval of RFPs, forecasts, statistics and budgets

The Cluster Director of Groups & Events performs key functions such as event management and related customer service, booking both residential and non-residential events from various lead sources. Our leader works closely with the hotel management and reports on operational matters, individual sales and services, as well as results of market surveys in the area of events sales.
