We currently have two excellent opportunities within our Education Service:
Head of Service – Education InclusionHead of Service – Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.As a Head of Service within our Education Service, you will have a key leadership role and will be an important member of your Senior leadership team, playing a key role in the strategic decision making, performance management and accountability frameworks of the division.
For our Head of Service for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, you will oversee the work of a range of SEND services in line with the requirements of the Children and Families Act 2014, the SEND Code of Practice and other associated requirements, strategies and policies, including Solihull's local offer.
For our Head of Service for Education Inclusion, you will oversee the work of the Education Inclusion Service, ensuring all children and young people in Solihull have access to an inclusive and appropriate education so they can achieve positive outcomes, enabling them to lead successful adult lives.
Within our Head of Service roles, you will be working closely with our schools and will be a key member of Schools Forum and its SEND working Group.
We are looking for experienced leaders who are determined to make a difference and you will have a proven track record in delivering major pieces of work, projects and change across professional boundaries.
You will be a dynamic leader able to thrive in a political environment. You will have shown the ability to motivate colleagues and partners, building positive relationships that deliver great outcomes for our children and young people.
We are looking for outstanding individuals who have excellent interpersonal skills, and are passionate about supporting children, young people and young adults (age 0-25).
