Job Overview:
The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking qualified individuals to join our team as adjunct faculty members in the field of Emergency Medical Services. This role is designed for educators who are passionate about teaching and committed to fostering academic excellence among diverse student populations.

As an adjunct faculty member, you will be responsible for delivering instruction in various courses, including Emergency Medical Technician, Advanced Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic, Critical Care, Mobile Integrated Healthcare, and Tactical Emergency Medical Support. The teaching load will vary based on student enrollment and institutional needs, with opportunities available during the day, evening, or weekend.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement engaging instructional materials for both day and evening classes. Assess student performance and provide timely feedback on assignments and assessments. Maintain a consistent presence on campus to support student learning. Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and administrative staff. Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree in Emergency Medical Services or a related discipline from an accredited institution. Current National Registry certification at the Paramedic level or Virginia certification at the Paramedic level. A strong commitment to student-centered teaching and learning. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of a diverse student body. Proven ability to evaluate student progress and maintain accurate records. Experience in teaching adult learners is highly desirable. Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Emergency Medical Services or a related field. Certification as a Virginia EMS Education Coordinator. Prior teaching experience in an accredited EMS program. Familiarity with online and hybrid teaching methodologies. Proficiency in using educational technologies and learning management systems.
