Overview: Are you dedicated to the field of Emergency Medical Services? The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking adjunct instructors to enhance their educational team. In this position, you will be tasked with instructing courses including Emergency Medical Technician, Advanced Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic, Critical Care, Mobile Integrated Healthcare, and Tactical Emergency Medical Support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and present instructional materials for both daytime and evening sessions
  • Evaluate and provide feedback on student performance
  • Maintain a visible presence on campus
  • Engage in effective communication with students, colleagues, and administrative staff

Required Qualifications:

  • Current National Registry or Virginia certification at the EMT level
  • Commitment to student-centered teaching and a passion for the subject matter
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Capability to address the needs of a diverse student population
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current National Registry or Virginia certification at the Paramedic level
  • Associate's degree in Emergency Medical Services or a related discipline
  • Prior teaching experience in EMS educational programs
  • Experience in community college instruction
  • Familiarity with instructional technologies and learning management systems
