About the team
FIS' Insurance Business provides mission-critical software and services to institutions in virtually every segment of the insurance services industry across the world. Within the Capital Markets division, our team members located across the globe, focus on supporting the Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Property & Casualty Insurance, and Pension or Retirement Product marketplaces. These solutions address the processing requirements of a broad range of users with our core administration platforms, workflow processing, actuarial modelling, data analytics, and accounting solutions.
What you will be doing
As a VP within the Risk Solutions Management and Strategy team you will be responsible for driving business strategy and meeting customer and industry needs. You will use your excellent client relationship management skills in order to understand our client's needs, establish credibility and build positive professional relationships. To support this, you will have a detailed understanding of the needs of insurers and the regulatory environment.
Key responsibilities include:
• Defining the Insurance Risk Suite Managed Cloud roadmap
• Accountability for managing a significant cloud business and achieving revenue and margin targets
• You will have responsibility for cloud customer relationships
• Attend regular client relationship calls/meetings with our large cloud customers, and on site when needed
• Responsible for ensuring the alignment of FIS service with our customer's needs
• Communication of new service offerings, pricing, and all cloud service development to the sales teams
• You will support the sales organisation through complex cloud sales processes
• Presentations regarding cloud functionality, service, roadmap etc. to both internal and external audiences
• You will provide Insurance/cloud thought leadership
• Strong relationship with both AWS and Azure partners
• You will own the contract process for new clients and renewals – working with sales on any large contracts
• Service catalogue definition, including architecture for new offerings in conjunction with internal teams
• Interlink with product teams in terms of cloud / SaaS enhancements through discussions with customers and internal teams
• Owning of the commercials aspects of service
• Ensuring internal teams are adequately staffed and alignment around growth of teams
What you bring
• Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to develop and communicate cloud related technologies as well as vision that inspires and motivates staff and delivers excellent customer experience
• Experience in cloud technologies and platforms especially AWS and Azure
• Knowledge of cloud architecture and infrastructure components, including virtualization, networking, storage, and security
• Understanding of cloud cost optimization strategies and ability to analyze and optimize cloud resource usage
• Effective influencing and negotiation skills in an environment where resources required for success may not be in direct control of this role
• Innovative and creative, able to bring new thinking to the organisation and our partners
• Excellent communications skills and able to liaise with all levels of seniority up to and including board level
• Extensive experience of making things work better with technology with at least substantial experience across management of cloud technical products and platforms
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and partners to drive cloud initiatives
• Ability to present information tailored to a diverse audiences (e.g. technical, finance, actuarial, executive)
• Degree background, preferably with additional cloud certifications or training and a strong background in management
