We are now recruiting for an In-patient Admin Assistant to work on our 2 Mental Health Older Adult/Dementia Wards based at St George's Hospital, Stafford. The post holder will have good organisational and computer skills. This is a busy and varied admin post – a great challenge for an enthusiastic and keen learner as full training will be given. Of note, this admin role is based on our Wards.

Our staff are committed to patient-centred care, and work closely within a multidisciplinary team to ensure that our service users receive the highest standard of care and treatment in a safe and supportive environment on our Wards.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for day to day duties across inpatient services to support the clinical functions of the Trust. To work in close co-operation with the Inpatient Medical and Clinical Administrators and/or Ward Manager in support of all staff groups and other medical professionals aligned to the ward.

The needs of the service user will be the utmost priority. The principle of high quality customer care is at the heart of this role

Working within the service can at times be a stressful environment, by way of telephone calls, visitors and daily urgencies. You should have the ability to work under pressure, with conflicting demands at times with a requirement to work flexibly in other administrative areas as appropriate as directed by your line manager.
