The news reporter's role:

  • Breaking news in a busy, 24-hour newsroom working alongside some of the most talented journalists in the world.
  • Working closely with sources and editors to identify and deliver breaking news stories for the most read English language news site.
  • Full time in the office, there will be some evening and weekend shifts
  • Delivering sparking copy to tight deadlines

    You:
    • Have proven ability to stay calm and deliver compelling news stories in a fast-paced, 24-hour news environment – you enjoy the intensity.
    • Must have a NCTJ, or equivalent and shorthand.
    • At least a couple of years of experience of a reporting in a newspaper setting, perhaps local or regional press. You're now ready to move onto the nationals.
    • Thrive on the excitement of breaking exclusive news stories, you are endlessly curious and devour news and current affairs.
