Job Description

The Role: Reporting to the Head of Data and Insight, you will be instrumental in providing our Broadcasting editorial, commercial, marketing, and product teams with top-tier insights derived from internal data and analytics. By integrating internal data tools with external sources, you will craft compelling narratives that resonate with our audience. Your expertise in data and analytics will empower key business decisions through rich and actionable customer intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with Technology, Data, and Insight teams to leverage all available digital data and analytics resources, extracting valuable insights on audience engagement with key programming, platforms, and products. Produce high-quality data analyses and actionable recommendations for editorial and business stakeholders, driving value through customer-centric decisions aimed at audience and revenue growth. Create and maintain comprehensive reports, dashboards, and engaging visual representations of business performance, continuously exploring innovative methods to effectively convey insights to stakeholders. Assist the broader Broadcasting Data and Insights team as required, contributing to audience measurement and custom research initiatives that inform editorial strategies and product development. Partner with stakeholders and suppliers to identify, define, and advocate for best practices in analytical and data tools.

You will generate business value and actionable insights from your analyses, leading meetings where you present clear and persuasive narratives with recommendations. You will communicate proactively and effectively to influence a diverse range of stakeholders, confidently advocating for your work and keeping them informed on progress. You will work collaboratively across functions, ensuring the highest quality outcomes and learning from colleagues in various departments. You will possess a keen understanding of the Broadcasting division's strategic objectives, demonstrating an ability to identify how data and insights can support the achievement of key business KPIs.

Technical Proficiencies:

You will utilize SQL to manipulate and analyze large datasets, facilitating concise reporting and analysis (through data warehouses like GBQ/AWS). You will embrace the challenge of visualizing data in meaningful and actionable formats (using tools like Tableau/Looker/Data Studio), pioneering innovative techniques. You will enjoy presenting and articulating detailed analyses to non-technical stakeholders, adeptly convincing various audiences (using tools like PowerPoint, Google Slides, Tableau Story). You will have a solid understanding of digital audience measurement, journey analysis, A/B testing methodologies, and customer data, effectively integrating these elements (using tools like Google/Adobe Analytics, Optimizely).
