Job Title: Continuous Improvement Associate

Location: Barrow-in-Furness - on site

Salary: From £28,636 - depending on skills and experience

What you'll be doing:

  • Acting as the administrator for key business improvement initiatives
  • Planning and scheduling data analysis work, with colleagues from across the team
  • Organising and summarising data analysis outputs into various reports, for use by the management team
  • Monitoring consistency of all work completed, and seeking to continuously improve the processes
  • Reporting on the progress of data gathering activities, vs the agreed plan
  • Capturing risks, issues and opportunities, relating to the work

Your skills and experiences:

  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Powerpoint
  • Administration and basic project management skills
  • Previous exposure to improvement work or projects
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and people skills
  • Ability to explain and present your own work to a range of stakeholders

The Operational Excellence team:

You will be part of a wider team of internal business improvement consultants that is responsible for developing and delivering schedule, cost, quality and safety improvements that directly impact the dreadnought programme. You will also be expected to engage with senior leaders where appropriate to develop improvement strategies. This is an entry level position, therefore offering significant training opportunities as well as the potential for career progression. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
