We are a recruitment firm collaborating with a distinguished Global Consultancy seeking a Business Continuity Planner to support one of our esteemed clients.
Role Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the Business Continuity Planner include:
1. Providing expert advice and guidance to facilitate the implementation of enterprise resilience and business continuity in compliance with governmental standards and best practices.
2. Offering continuous support to the incident response team for operations outside of regulated sites, ensuring alignment with business priorities during incidents and risk management.
3. Assisting in the development and upkeep of business continuity plans, business impact assessments, disaster recovery strategies, and associated documentation through collaboration with key stakeholders.
4. Advising functional teams on business continuity risks related to information security, facilities, reputation, and other vital business assets.
5. Supporting the execution of resilience exercises to validate business continuity strategies and enhance organizational knowledge.
6. Aiding incident response teams in applying lessons learned from exercises to strengthen resilience planning and ensure ongoing improvement.
Essential Qualifications:
- Professional certification in Resilience, Business Continuity, Risk Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in developing a Business Continuity program aligned with ISO22301 or a resilience program aligned with ISO22316 in a corporate or highly regulated setting.
- Demonstrated ability to engage stakeholders effectively, fostering strong relationships to achieve business objectives.
- Experience in conducting business continuity and resilience audits, reviews, and performance monitoring.
- Comprehensive understanding of enterprise resilience and business continuity best practices.
- Familiarity with relevant standards and frameworks in Enterprise Resilience, Business Continuity, and Emergency Management.
- Insight into the implications of enterprise resilience and business continuity within critical infrastructure sectors.
- Experience utilizing project management methodologies to support the effective delivery of business continuity initiatives in high-profile projects.
- Proficient in drafting procedures, reports, and providing guidance to staff at all levels.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in the Nuclear Industry.
- Knowledge of Security Assessment Principles for the Civil Nuclear Industry and relevant security standards.
- Experience in developing and delivering resilience and business continuity training programs.
- Understanding of cyber resilience standards within supply chains.
- Membership in a professional institute or industry body.
- Certification in Business Continuity Management or Enterprise Resilience.
