An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR professional to join the Department of Chemistry. The role is responsible for the delivery of HR operations in the Department, primarily around employee resourcing, managing a team of five HR Officers. Reporting to the Head of HR, you will also support the employee relations and project work within the Department.

As a senior HR professional, you will work with managers and academic employees to ensure that all recruitment and other HR processes are fully compliant with the University's codes of practice. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to support and motivate teams and the ability to influence senior managers and academics are critical within this role.

Your ability to think analytically, to innovate and problem-solve is essential. Sound knowledge and experience of the application of UK employment law and UKBA regulations are required to ensure compliance at all times. The ability to manage and prioritise your own workload and the work of the HR team, to adapt to changing priorities, and to meet strict deadlines is essential.
