Compliance Business Manager
Glasgow

As a Barclays Compliance Business Manager, you'll be primarily focused on oversight of the Compliance cost base.

The role ensures Compliance manages its financial controls and commitments, including adherence to Budget and regular reporting to stakeholders, both inside and outside the function.

You will be accountable for supporting senior members of the Compliance COO Management team as well as advising Compliance teams on their progress against COO activities e.g.

Resourcing, Financials and Headcount.

What will you be doing?

  • Managing and overseeing the Compliance cost base, including regular reporting to stakeholders, forward projections and management of regular third party payments
  • Assisting the Compliance function to ensure adherence to the Barclays Control Framework Standards
  • Supporting the generation of regular Management Information (MI) as and when required
  • Presenting progress and findings to the Compliance COO Leadership team whilst being able to articulate challenges faced and proposing solutions
  • You will be operating as a culture carrier for the Function and the COO team in this highly visible role which provides exposure to many senior stakeholders
  • Contributing to the delivery of Group or Function-wide programmes such as organisational redesign
  • Presenting progress and findings to the Compliance COO leadership team whilst being able to articulate challenges faced and proposing solutions

What we're looking for:

  • Part qualified accountant /Accounting experience (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent etc.) would be advantageous
  • Highly proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent Business analysis skills to enable requirements capture and interpretation including Process mapping and process design
  • Effective presentation skills to both a junior and senior audience
Skills that will help you in the role:

  • SQL understanding and experience
  • Previous experience of Business Management
  • Microsoft Access skills, including development of structure, inputs and outputs
  • The ability to critically analyse data including the identification of trends, themes and unusual outliers
