Key Responsibilities

  1. Risk Identification and Management

Identify and manage interconnected and emerging risks to assist the business in understanding, managing, and mitigating the right risks in line with their business strategy and objectives.

Operational Risk Analysis

Analyze operational risk data to identify trends, patterns, and emerging risks.

Business Process Review

Review and assess business processes, systems, and controls to assess the likelihood and impact of identified risks.

Stakeholder Engagement

Engage with stakeholders to ensure that risk-based input is provided into projects and strategic decisions.

Risk-Based Input

Provide risk-based input into 1st Line activities, including Risk Control Self Assessments (RCSAs), Risk Events, Issues, and attendance at key Risk and Control meetings.

Leadership and Accountability

Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does.

Requirements

  • Operational Risk Experience

Experience with operational risk and control, preferably in a retail banking or financial services environment.

Business Acumen

Strong business acumen and understanding of the organization's functions and goals.

Strategic Thinking

Ability to think strategically and provide risk-based input into projects and strategic decisions.

Communication Skills

Excellent communication and influencing skills to engage with stakeholders and provide risk-based input.
