Role Purpose :

The Global Strategic Partnerships Director is accountable for developing a focused team that will build partnerships, both in the development of major opportunities and as routes to market through partnership. This includes key account relationships and pursuit of strategic business opportunities across Education, Corporate and Government partners as part of the Global Sales Capability.

They will work with senior leadership in English to develop strategic partnerships that deliver significant income ensuring English achieves its annual and long term targets.

The Global Strategic Partnerships Director will require significant interpersonal skills to influence both internal and external stakeholders at a senior level to build these relationships and opportunities.

The post-holder will also be responsible for establishing and managing a global team covering cross teaching and assessment opportunities, working with the regional teams in identifying and building strategic market opportunities Director, B2B and reporting to the Director Education, Corporate and Government Partnerships.

Key accountabilities include:

Establishing and managing a global team to pursue Strategic Partnership opportunities

Engaging with Global Product Teams including IELTS, Global Assessment, Global Education Services (Distribution) and Teaching ProductsEngaging with the Teaching and Exams Research Groups and to ensure client successEngaging with regional sales teams to capitalise on significant opportunitiesWorking with global operations and delivery teams to deliver large scale projectsWorking with the Global Sales Director to develop and implement global sales strategy and methodology with business teams.Working across One British Council, including Cultural Engagement, Arts and Education teams to ensure we can leverage all opportunities. This will involve engagement with Regional Directors and Country Directors to open, nurture and develop major strategic relationships.Main Accountabilities:Leadership & managementWork with the Director of ECG Partnerships and Global Sales Director, B2B to develop a scalable, sustainable operating model for B2B Sales and Account Management that will help achieve business targets and build greater alignment across teams.Develop a Strategic Partnership capability to grow and develop our key accounts and deliver major strategic projects as part of the Global Sales Capability.Build a collaborative approach to delivery of major projects across multiple functionsLead and grow opportunities that leverage One British Council, seeking opportunities that build on English Teaching and Assessment as well as Arts and EducationFocus on delivering impact and the pursuit of our core valuesStrategy and planningDevelop new and innovative partnership models both as customers and as additional routes to new and existing market.
