IT Security Operations Manager

Central is seeking an experienced IT Security Operations Manager to manage and handle all aspects of IT security operations, including responding to and resolving security events and incidents, identifying vulnerabilities, deploying mitigation tactics and escalating where appropriate in order to safe-guard sensitive information from unauthorised access.

You will be responsible for reviewing security processes, systems and capabilities that affect the security of our most critical assets and will proactively work with colleagues to identify areas of weakness. You will create recommendations for continual improvement, as well as be fully engaged with the IT Support Team, acting as a third line escalation point for security matters.

You will help define Central's Cyber Security posture including ensuring that appropriate security controls are applied in line with standard frameworks, for example ISO27001, NIST and Cyber Essentials.

Additionally, Central is undergoing a significant period of change and transformation, including investment in its IT Infrastructure and presently in its core applications, therefore you must be proficient with undertaking security risk assessments, including data, network and application and will be the primary stakeholder in projects and activities where new technology is adopted that may impact the security of the IT Infrastructure and/or its existing application/data ecosystem.
